I used babelfish and my limited knowledge of German for the German part, so it might suck a little. Sorry about that/ mein entschuldigung. :D

Der promo video!

War das nicht "das" Video? :D
For your knowledge of German!

OT: ich höre mal rein...allerdings bin ich nicht so musikalisch begabt, dass ich dazu was vernünftiges sagen kann :(

Probably. My German is not very good at all. I'm already happy i can order food and drinks there. :)

In dutch "video" is "de" and not "het", so if we follow dutch rules, it should be "die" of "der". :) Most of the time Dutch and German are parallel here, but not in this case it seems.

Hi,

I'm sorry to say that, but I don't like your style. Sure, some parts of some songs are not bad and really kick ass.
But it seems like every song is made with this monotone 4/4 Rythm. Songstructures are similar in design, even the atmosphere of several songs are very likewise. So in the end, everything I can remember, after hearing your songs on myspace and watching your Promo Video, is "Boom Boom Boom Boom".
For me Industrial and Noise becomes animated if there are variances in both ways, sound and structure...and it doesn't seem like you're changing much.
But this is just my slight opinion. I'm sure there are many people who like your stuff.

There are, and the stuff gets played by DJ's quite a lot. :) I can see what your point is, but i left that path a while ago because i don't agree with the current course of industrial. I don't like the breakbeat/breakcore course ant-zen and in a lesser extent Hands are taking, so i decided to center more on harsch 4/4 instead. To me industrial is a dirty and corrosive form of dancemusic, and experimenting is always good, but should always take the groove into account.

And i don't think there is much wrong with monotone 4/4 rhytmns. I have always liked those, from the disco era onwards. Just keep that beat pumpin' :D

I completely disagree. :)

Experimenting is good, but whatever experiment you conduct, in the end you should come with something which appeals to certain people. What i always noticed, was that the tracks (how extreme and abrassive they may be) which are loved by people all have a certain "groove" to it. Groove can be anything. From the 4/4 steamhammers in the music of Xotox and Asche, to the pulsating and distorted analoge synths from Haus Arafna or Throbbing gristle.

Take "Spite" by Sophia, "Gracebudd" by Subliminal or "Gleichstrom" by Fabrikc. Grooves all over the place.

If it is industrial and it is GOOD, it has a groove. I think industrial is THE greatest form of dancemusic around (together with EBM). You can say "Industrial is not made for dancing", but in the end the clubs are filled with little girls all wanna shake their booties. And who can resist those fine creatures? I sure can't! :D

Actually i think my project is industrial just like the bands you mentioned are. The fun is: They created their music in a time when there was no sense of direction yet. Over the years that has changed.

The influence of early industrial on dance music is very, very big. And the originators: What did they do? later on they went on to create DANCE music. Psychic TV did acid house, Coil experimented with dance, Cabaret Voltaire made electrofunk and techno when they moved further on. Even Throbbing gristle did dance music! (hot on the heels of love, anyone?) Only exception would be SPK, but some of their records are quite funky, despite them doing filmscores nowadays.

I think that the movement of industrial music towards the dance forms we know nowadays are logical. I regard Xotox as an industrial band. You could narrow it down further to the name "rhytmnic industrial" but it is industrial, and i am quite sure that the originators if they started today, with the same equipment we have today, would have come up with something similar.

And those old bands are a major influence on my music. I was a fan of them, whem most of them still were around. I made a page with my influences in tPROE: http://www.tproe.com/invloeden.htm Lots of the old bands there. :)
